Mgr. Ve své disertační práci Internal Meetings: The Process of Decision-making in Workplace Discourse se prostřednictvím longitudinálního výzkumu pracovních porad a konverzační analýzy zabývala procesem rozhodování v pracovní interakci.

Vyučuje lingvistiku, analýzu diskurzu a související předměty v lingvistických a učitelských studijních programech a vede kvalifikační práce zaměřené zejména na analýzu profesního, institucionálního a vzdělávacího diskurzu, osvojování jazyka a učitelské vzdělávání. Před nástupem na Jihočeskou univerzitu působila jako učitelka anglického jazyka na gymnáziu, vyučovala odborné jazykové předměty na Západočeské univerzitě v Plzni a během doktorského studia pracovala na specializovaném jazykovém pracovišti English for International Students Unit (EISU) na University of Birmingham.

Významnou součástí její odborné činnosti je rovněž mezinárodní spolupráce a internacionalizace vzdělávání budoucích učitelů angličtiny, zejména propojování učitelského vzdělávání s mezinárodní pedagogickou zkušeností. Byla hlavní řešitelkou a koordinátorkou projektu Erasmus+ Teachers of English for Future Europe (TEFE): EU Mobility and Employability through the Internationalisation of Teaching Practice (2020–2023) a projektovou koordinátorkou navazujícího mezinárodního projektu TEFE A+ (2023–2026), zaměřeného na implementaci mezinárodních učitelských praxí a rozvoj profesních, interkulturních a globálních kompetencí budoucích učitelů.
