Životopis

Tvůrčí činnost

I am an Associate Professor at the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Agriculture and Technology and Head of the Laboratory of LCA, specialising in environmental modelling for agriculture and agri-food systems. My professional background combines academic research, international cooperation and applied consultancy. As a senior LCA expert, I provide methodological support, independent evaluations and strategic guidance for companies and institutions aiming to reduce environmental impacts or implement sustainability innovations. I have extensive experience from national and international projects funded by the Czech Ministry of Agriculture, the Czech Ministry of Education, INTERREG, ERASMUS+ or the National Recovery Plan, involving partners across Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Türkiye, US and other EU and non-EU countries. These collaborations have strengthened my ability to design LCA studies under diverse climatic and technological conditions and to translate scientific results into practical applications at the business and policy level. I act as a reviewer and evaluator for national and international research programmes and as an opponent of PhD theses. I also supervise PhD students in topics related to LCA, sustainable agriculture, and circular economy approaches. My teaching activities include courses on LCA, environmental impact assessment, applied ecology, ecosystem services, eco-energy and agroecology, contributing to the development of green competencies and environmental literacy. I am the author or co-author of multiple peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as the International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment, the European Journal of Agronomy, the Journal of Cleaner Production, and Agronomy and Agriculture. My research focuses on agricultural LCA, hotspot identification, nutrient management, circular economy concepts and low-carbon innovations in crop production.
