The University of South Bohemia and the Ministry of the Environment will cooperate in education, research, and the professional development of students

The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (USB) and the Ministry of the Environment (MoE) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, confirming their joint interest in a long-term partnership in the fields of education, research, and the professional development of students.

The Memorandum emphasizes, in particular, the provision of professional internships for students, expert consultations during the preparation of final theses, and the exchange of expertise between the academic and governmental spheres. USB students will have the opportunity to participate in internships directly at MoE workplaces, obtain topics for their final theses from the current practice of the Ministry, and consult these with its experts.

“We greatly appreciate the establishment of this cooperation. We believe it will offer students practical experience that will significantly enrich their studies and prepare them for their future professional lives,” said USB Rector Pavel Kozák.

The partnership also includes opportunities for MoE experts to take part in teaching, the organization of lectures for ministry employees, and the presentation of the MoE as a potential employer at events aimed at supporting students’ career growth.

The Memorandum is concluded for an indefinite period and allows for the flexible adaptation of cooperation to the current needs of both institutions.
