The twenty-sixth year of the Werner von Siemens Awards for engineering and science students and young scientists has been announced. ‘I often hear from the winners of previous years of the Werner von Siemens Awards that the award has helped them further their scientific and academic careers or obtain grants. About the Awards:

The Werner von Siemens Prize is organised by Siemens Czech Republic together with important representatives of universities and the Czech Academy of Sciences, who are also the guarantors of the individual categories and participate in the evaluation of the works. The award ceremony is held under the auspices of the Prime Minister Petr Fiala and the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation, Helena Langšádlová, as well as the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Werner von Siemens Prize is one of the most important independent initiatives of this kind in the Czech Republic in terms of its scope, the amount of financial rewards and its history. In the previous twenty-four years of the competition, 450 students, teachers and scientists have been awarded prizes, and over CZK 15.3 million has been paid out.
