The KreativEU consortium was supported by the City of České Budějovice

An updated project of the consortium of European universities KreativEU (Knowledge & Creativity European University) is currently being prepared at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The KreativEU consortium brings together 11 European universities: Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (the main project coordinator), University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Valahia University of Târgoviște, D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University, Università degli Studi di Camerino, Trnava University in Trnava, and the new partners: Breda University of Applied Sciences, Politechnika Opolska, Södertörn University, and Universität Greifswald.

This consortium represents a unique alliance of universities across Europe, connecting local and national heritage, traditions, crafts, and folklore with common European values. The project of universities associated in the KreativEU consortium is based on a shared vision of the importance of European cultural and artistic diversity as a driving force for cohesion, equality, peace, and sustainability. It also encompasses educational, economic, political, social, and scientific aspects of innovation and development.

On Wednesday 6 December 2023, a meeting and discussion with a group of selected students of the University, with the participation of the President of the ESN USB Budweis and the President of the Student Union of the University of South Bohemia, took place on the topic of the contribution of European alliances and KreativEU from the perspective of students. During the discussion, the participants stated that they see the positive benefits not only as opportunities to share knowledge and new experiences with each other, but also as an opportunity to learn about new cultures, traditions and strengthen their language skills, which can help them not only in their studies, but also in their future careers.

Support for the project of the consortium of European universities KreativEU, which is focused on education, research and protection of cultural and natural heritage, was also expressed by the Statutory City of České Budějovice, for which the main theme of the consortium in the areas of education, research and social impact is significant and the cooperation between the KreativEU consortium and the City will be beneficial in many respects. See the official statement of the city signed by doc. Dr. Ing. Dagmar Škodová Parmová, Mayor, here.

Thanks to the KreativEU alliance, a new generation of students and EU citizens will emerge, collaborating across cultures, borders, languages, and disciplines. They will create a common European campus, KreativEU Heritage, with the aim of connecting individual universities and their knowledge and creativity with education, research, and innovation.
