European Patent Office approves new PATLIB committee members

At the 2019 PATLIB summit, representatives of patent information centres (‘PATLIBs’) from across Europe adopted a set of recommendations in a document called the Porto Paper, which aims to strengthen the European Patent Office's support for the PATLIB network. Based on these recommendations, a seven-member committee was established in 2020. The committee has an established two-year appointment and each representative can participate for a maximum of two consecutive terms.

Therefore, nominations for new members were made at the beginning of 2023 and 7 new committee members were elected from a total of 16 members. One of the re-elected members is RNDr. et Mgr. Růžena Štemberková, Ph.D., MPA, Head of the Technology Transfer Office of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, who will again represent the whole Visegrad region in Europe.
