E-sports students have a modern classroom

Like other modern universities, the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice also supports the increasingly popular e-sport. So a group of students got a newly equipped classroom in the Academic Library.

'I am convinced that e-sport has its place at our University and that involvement in university leagues is another step towards supporting our students,' said Vice-Rector for Development Hojdekr. 'I was very happy to be involved in the initial preparations based on the impetus from the management of the Faculty of Education,' Hojdekr continued.

Since December, a group of University players can use the team classroom in the Academic Library, where five sets of gaming computers are ready for them, including other necessary equipment, which will be expanded in the future in case of greater interest.

'The fact that the university e-sports league is on the rise is also proved by the fact that this category is being considered for inclusion in the Academic Games, which this year were organized by the University of South Bohemia,' said Helena Koldová, Dean of the Faculty of Education. 'I wish the students to enjoy the new classroom and celebrate many gaming successes for the University in it,' concluded the Dean.
