Day with the University of South Bohemia entertained visitors of the Women's Ice Hockey World Championship Fan Zone on Sokolský Island

Introduction of all 8 faculties of the University of South Bohemia, interactive demonstrations, games, and entertainment - this was the Day with the University of South Bohemia, which this time became part of the accompanying program of the Women's Ice Hockey World Championship Fan Zone on Sokolský Island in České Budějovice.
Visitors could try out various activities firsthand - how virtual reality, thermal imaging, or robot programming works. There was great interest in the work of archaeologists and physiotherapists. In practical demonstrations, people could step into the role of a hockey player, an elderly person, or a pregnant woman. A special device also evaluated their weight, proportions, and body fat content.
On the Fan Zone stage, Martin Šeda from the Department of Applied Chemistry at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology presented an impressive, colorful science show that captivated children and adults.
In the spirit of the championship's main motto, "Heroes Incoming," Libor Bouček invited two university heroines to his talk show - cross-country skiing representative and student of the Faculty of Economics, Barbora Havlíčková, and world champion in fly fishing and graduate of the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Protection, Kateřina Švagrová. Both inspirational women shared their stories and described their journeys to success.
Thank you to everyone for a successful university day! And for those who missed it, a television report is available HERE.
