The Rector of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice prof. PhDr. Bohumil Jiroušek, Dr., and the Vice-Rector for International Relations doc. PaedDr. Radka Závodská, Ph.D., made an acquisition trip to universities in Romania and Moldova. Their trip included a visit to Valahia University in Târgovişte (VUT) and Moldova State University in Chișinău (MSU). At both universities, they met with representatives of the management of these universities and signed cooperation agreements. At the end of their trip, the USB delegation also visited the State Agrarian University of Moldova (SAUM).

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a bilateral institutional agreement on student and teacher mobilities under the Erasmus+ programme were signed with the VUT for the following selected fields of study: Business and Administration, Law, Food Processing, Teacher Training, Languages, Economics, Music, History, Archaeology.
VUT is also a partner university involved in the preparation of the European consortium project KreativEU in which 6 other European universities participate together with USB.
The delegation from the University of South Bohemia visited not only the individual VUT faculties, where they met with their deans but also the Research Centre of the VUT and the Peles Castle (an affiliated site of the KrativEU consortium), which is one of the most important Romanian monuments.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the context of a meeting with the Rector of MSU, Prof. Igor ȘAROV. The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations Aurelia HANGANU and the First Vice-Rector of MSU Otilia DANDARA.
