Piarist Square in České Budějovice transformed into a place filled with music, dance, color, and Brazilian energy over the two days of the festival. Brazilian Fest attracted hundreds of visitors who enjoyed concerts, dance performances, workshops, and authentic Brazilian gastronomy.
The University of South Bohemia was a proud partner and sponsor of the festival. Supporting events that connect different cultures and create a space for international meetings is one of the values upon which the university has long been built. Every year, it provides a home to hundreds of international students and academics and actively develops international cooperation through its membership in the European University Alliance, KreativEU.
Over the course of the two days, festival visitors were able to experience performances by Czech and Brazilian musicians, energetic drum shows, dance workshops, and capoeira demonstrations. A major attraction was also the performance by Brazilian singer Tulipa Ruiz, a Latin Grammy winner, and traditional carnival dancers, who set the whole square dancing.
