On Friday, 12 June, the Kousek ZeMě festival took place at the Dominican Monastery on Piaristické náměstí — an event that annually brings together the inhabitants of South Bohemia with people from various corners of the world. Visitors were able to enjoy a varied cultural program, musical and dance performances, taste specialties from different countries, or listen to inspiring stories of people who have found their new home in the Czech Republic. The festival also serves as a reminder of the values of openness, mutual understanding and cultural diversity.
The University of South Bohemia also took part in the event, represented by international students and staff from Zambia, Ghana and Brazil. They introduced their countries, cultures and traditions to visitors, and contributed to the friendly international atmosphere that was one of the key messages of the entire festival.
