The USB application "jedemespolu.cz" will be newly used by Sezimácká secondary school

Rector of the University of South Bohemia Pavel Kozák and Director of Sezimácká Secondary School in Sezimovo Ústí Lenka Hrušková signed a contract for the provision of a license to the jedemespolu.cz application.

The jedemespolu.cz web application, developed by the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia and recently awarded the prestigious Innovation of the Year 2025 Award, functions as a smart electronic "notice board" for carpooling. It connects drivers with spare seats in their cars to passengers heading in the same direction. The original goal was to improve transport services in rural areas, but the system is quickly spreading into other spheres as well. Examples include the involvement of the ČB Exhibition Grounds or the extraleague team Banes Motor ČB.

Main advantages and uses of the platform:
Financial and time savings: Efficient sharing of travel costs and faster transport where public transport does not offer ideal connections.

Improved mobility and independence: A great alternative for commuting students, seniors, or people from less accessible regions.

Environmental benefit: Better use of personal cars means fewer vehicles on the roads and a lower carbon footprint, supporting sustainable travel.

Strengthening community: Shared rides bring people from one region closer together and help build better interpersonal and neighborly relationships. The purpose of the application is not primarily profit, but a good deed and mutual assistance.

At the VOŠ, SŠ and COP in Sezimovo Ústí, the application is to serve employees and students.

"The involvement of our school in the project will bring new opportunities for school employees and students. It will offer them the concept of economical travel, through carpooling it will contribute to sustainable travel and at the same time encourage thinking about mobility in the context of saving time, finances and the environment. We know that a large part of students and teachers commute to school from various directions, from Vysočina, South Bohemian cities or the Central Bohemian Region, and the connections are not always ideal," described the use of the application Director Lenka Hrušková.
