On Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, USB students and staff had the opportunity to enjoy a unique concert by Nicole Bokova (https://www.nikolbokova.com/), one of the most remarkable young pianists and composers of today. She is mainly engaged in the interpretation of classical music, but she is also one of the most talented composers on the contemporary jazz scene.
In the first part of the concert programme, Nikol Bóková performed works by Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Tomáš Svoboda, Vítězslav Novák and Sergei Rachmaninov. The second part of the concert featured her own original compositions from the albums Inner Place and Unravel performed by the jazz trio - Nikol Bóková, Martin Kocián (double bass) and Michał Wierzgoń (drums).
We would like to thank the performers, Nikol Bóková, Martin Kocián and Michał Wierzgoń, for an extraordinary musical experience, and we would also like to thank the director of the American Spring Festival, Ms. Zdeňka Součková, especially for the opportunity to be part of this international music festival.
