The Academic Bicycle Challenge is back. From June 1 to June 30, 2026, we are once again collecting kilometres for a good cause!

Get your bikes ready, motivate your mind, let's support a good cause again! The Cycling Challenge begins at USB on June 1, 2026! Will we manage to beat last year's 113,000 km?
For teams
This year, we would like the teams to be as balanced as possible. Therefore, we ask you to fill the teams to their maximum capacity (25 riders). Teams can be made up of riders from different departments, areas, types of study, parts of USB, or by faculties. We ask both captains and individual riders to challenge their colleagues and friends and join forces together for a good cause. Throughout the entire month, we can give a chance to MOVEMENT, BENEFIT HEALTH and THE ENVIRONMENT, COMPETE, and what's more – CONTRIBUTE TO PEOPLE who need our help. All kilometres ridden count and will support the overall result of USB, whether you ride just for fun or for any other reason. This year, we will be helping Deborka, Karolínka and Anička. Their stories will be gradually introduced to you on social media and the USB website. TEAM CAPTAINS WILL DECIDE WHICH STORY THEY WILL SUPPORT.
Already during the competition, you can win great prizes for the kilometres you ride.
The most important point in the rules for ABC 2026 is that all riders must register in the Naviki app using their UNIVERSITY EMAIL (if you already have an account, the email can easily be changed).
THE TEAM NAME must be entered so that it best represents the given faculty, rector's office, department, workplace, group, etc.
Rules for participation in ABC – general
· Participation counts from June 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026
· The following applies for a ride to be counted: max. speed 60 km/h and average speed 30 km/h, max. length of a single ride ≤ 150 km – so don't forget to take breaks, because winning is not worth an injury!
· All types of bikes are allowed (city, mountain, road, e-bikes, etc.)
· You can ride wherever you want – it is not necessary to ride only in České Budějovice
· Participants can form teams – min. number of riders in a team is 5, max. number is 25 (everyone can join only one team)
The main partner of the ABC Challenge this year is a České Budějovice-based bicycle manufacturer, Leader Fox, which is donating two bicycles to the competition.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Kampa student club on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
Whether you ride alone or in teams, remember that throughout the entire month of June you can ride anywhere, both for sport and for relaxation. If you have any questions, please contact:
