For the very first time at the University of South Bohemia, we invited all students and employees to count their walking kilometers and try together to walk around all the partner universities of the KreativEU alliance, of which USB is a member. To commemorate 35 years since the founding of our university, we set the time limit to 35 days. To our great surprise, with our combined steps we walked around all 11 member universities of the KreativEU consortium already in the first weekend! And during the entire duration of the challenge, we accumulated 18,831 km.
For 35 days, the walking challenge lived its own life on campus, at the faculties, but mainly on roads across the Czech Republic and abroad. After tallying all the results, we announced the 10 best participants who had walked the most kilometers during the challenge, and a special prize was awarded for the longest trip ever: 69 km in one "stretch" was covered by Ievgen Koliada from FROV JU.

We thank everyone who participated, shared the common effort and goal, and moved USB forward by several million steps! The results are great, but even better is joining forces for a common goal and doing something for each of our healths in the process.

But sport at USB doesn't rest there. We are launching sports challenge no. 2 - running. From April 16 to May 20, all female and male runners at USB have the opportunity to record their running kilometers in the STRAVA app and, right from the start, push their limits in the starter challenge "Outrun the Rector".
