Students of the University of South Bohemia, who represent the USB and the Czech Republic in various sports disciplines, attended a meeting with USB Rector Pavel Kozák. Among the 17 successful athletes were representatives of team sports and individual representatives. Members of volleyball, basketball, floorball, softball, football, and handball teams, swimmers, and kayakers presented their achievements to the Rector.
Students described what life is like for top athletes and how they manage to combine sport at this level with their studies. They thanked the USB for the new university sportswear that they provided to all the athletes in the fall. The Rector emphasized that the promotion of sport remains one of the university's priorities, and the USB continues to work on integrating all sports activities into a unified sports union. The athletes appreciated the USB's interest in their activities and results and agreed with the Rector on even more intensive sharing of information between the sports scene and the University.
