Orientation Week 2026: International students get to know the University of South Bohemia, the city, and each other

This week, the University of South Bohemia is welcoming new international students who have come to České Budějovice for a study period under the Erasmus+ programme. Orientation Week for the 2026 winter semester runs from 14 to 19 September and helps students find their bearings in their new environment before classes begin.

During these introductory days, students get to know the University, the campus, the study system and the services they can use throughout the semester. They also receive practical information for everyday life in České Budějovice, as well as important contacts in case they need help during their stay.

Orientation Week is not only about information, however. The programme also offers plenty of opportunities to explore the city, Czech culture and new classmates. Students can look forward to a guided tour of the city centre, social events, a sports programme, a visit to the Budějovický Budvar brewery and a trip to Český Krumlov.

The programme is organised by the Welcome Office, the International Office and ESN USB Budweis, which will also be available to international students throughout the semester.

We wish all newly arrived students a great start to the semester, many new friendships and unforgettable experiences during their stay at the University of South Bohemia and in České Budějovice.
