On Tuesday 4 October 2022, the opening ceremony of the new academic year took place at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. It included the opening of the exhibition ‘Alone Against All. Members of the SNB in August 1968’. The opening ceremony was attended by the USB management, the USB Rector's Board and other distinguished guests. The exhibition was presented by its author, PhDr. Daniel Povolný, Ph.D., expert member of The Office of the Documentation and the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism.
At 4 pm, the new academic year was initiated by the Rector of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Prof. PhDr. Bohumil Jiroušek, Dr. This was followed by a lecture entitled ‘Homogenization Efforts of the Czechs in the Light of the National Holidays of 1918 and 1993’ given by Prof. PaedDr. Mgr. Miroslav Vaňek, Ph.D.
