The night that once a year transforms into a unique celebration of science brought 4,187 visitors to the University of South Bohemia on Friday, September 26. In the seven editions that USB has participated in the Night of Scientists, this is the highest number ever. The theme WEALTH ignited great imagination across all eight faculties of USB, and on campus, at the faculties in the centre of České Budějovice, and in Nové Hrady, visitors of all ages could choose from nearly 90 different programmes. Gold, energy, history, cultural heritage, human health, nature – all of these became the greatest wealth for one extraordinary evening, and scientists and students of the University of South Bohemia offered the key to them to every visitor. The programme, featuring a variety of demonstrations, experiments, games, and tastings, was enjoyed by everyone – from the youngest children to seniors.
A big thank you goes to all the organisers at our faculties, whose enthusiasm once again brought science significantly closer to the public. We also warmly thank all the visitors and look forward to seeing you again next year!
