Rector of the University of South Bohemia Pavel Kozák and President of the Volleyball Club České Budějovice František Adler signed a memorandum of cooperation. It is intended to bring a link between teaching and practice, to enable professional internships and practice for students and to involve them in the activities of the sports club. It will make it easier for student-athletes to coordinate their training and study regime. Sports coaches will have the opportunity to share professional knowledge with teachers, conduct training, workshops and lectures.
The partnership opens wide opportunities for joint communication between the sports club and the university, promotion and popularization of sports on campus and reaching out to students to actively participate in sports activities.
The Memorandum is also the basis for joint projects in the fields of sport, education, research, social responsibility and cross-border cooperation.
The University of South Bohemia is aware of the importance of elite sport for the representation of the region and academia and welcomes the opportunity for joint presentation, sharing of know-how and cooperation with top club coaches. At the same time, it is in the interest of the USB to provide sports facilities and specialized workplaces for the purpose of sports training, fitness and performance testing or other activities supporting the development of athletes.
