The second meeting of the International Board of the University of South Bohemia (USB) took place on April 24–25 at the university. The Board is an important advisory body to the Rector of the University, providing assessments regarding the direction and quality of USB’s educational and creative activities. Its members are respected experts with long-term professional experience outside the Czech Republic. The Rector appoints members of this body for a term of five years. The Board offers recommendations concerning study programs, comments on areas of education and accreditation, and may suggest steps for potential improvements to USB’s educational concepts.
Members of the International Board were informed about changes in the leadership of the University of South Bohemia. They acknowledged the progress USB has made since the previous meeting in 2022, in many areas, including the Doctoral School and central tools for communication, cooperation, and development. They noted the need to establish a clear vision and a well-defined identity for USB. During their visit to the university, they toured the Simulation Centre of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, where they appreciated the facilities and the quality of teaching.
