Communication lit up Science Night at the University of South Bohemia

Nearly 3,500 visitors, more than a hundred stations and one common theme: communication. This year's Science Night filled the campus on Branišovská Street, the faculties in the centre of České Budějovice and Nové Hrady with curious minds of all ages. Children and adults explored how birds, crayfish and plants talk to one another, how fake news spreads, how people communicated in prehistoric times and what healing power music has. The University of South Bohemia took part in the event for the eighth time.

This year, Science Night also came to the new Aula of the University of South Bohemia for the first time. The programme's new addition, discussions in the Aula's main hall with inspiring figures from our region, was also a great success. The guests talked about communicating under stress and in crisis situations, about how animals and plants communicate, and about communication in literature.

We would like to thank all our visitors and everyone who helped prepare the programme. See you again next year!
