On Tuesday, 4 November, the management of the University of South Bohemia held a joint meeting with partners from Mendel University in Brno at the Křtiny Castle. The two universities signed a memorandum of cooperation on sustainability last year and at the meeting they evaluated how it is being implemented. MENDELU cooperates with USB in the National Renewal Plan project (Support for Green Skills and Sustainability - USB, reg. no.: NPO_JU_MSMT-2115/2024-4), which focuses on sustainability and green transformation of universities.
Vice-rectors from both universities exchanged information and experiences in the fields of science and research, technology transfer, and quality development in higher education. The sharing of challenges on the Bursars' agenda, particularly regarding the university budget and infrastructure investment, was also valuable.
The basis for further sustainable cooperation between USB and MENDELU is the establishment of a tradition of such joint meetings, which both schools have agreed upon.
