JOB DAY at the University of South Bohemia connected students with practice

The Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia organized a job fair called JOB DAY on April 14-15, 2026 in the premises of the USB Canteen, which attracted hundreds of students from across the faculties of the University of South Bohemia. The two-day event offered a unique opportunity for direct contact between students and employers from various sectors.
Among more than 20 exhibitors were significant regional companies such as Budějovický Budvar, E.ON, and Aptar. Alongside them, nationwide operating companies also presented themselves, for example, Generali Czech Insurance and Kooperativa Insurance. An important part of the fair was also representatives of the public sector, including the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and the Czech Labor Office.
The aim of JOB DAY was to connect students of the University of South Bohemia with potential employers and enable them to gain an overview of current job and internship opportunities. Visitors had the opportunity to consult their career plans directly with company representatives, find out requirements for individual positions, or establish their first professional contacts.
The event confirmed the growing interest of employers in students not only from the Faculty of Economics but from the entire University of South Bohemia. This is also evidenced by the fact that some company representatives found employment precisely thanks to JOB DAY. A relatively large proportion of exhibitors were graduates of the Faculty of Economics.
Companies and institutions appreciated the opportunity to meet with students in person and to present their values, work environments, and career opportunities directly. The Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia plans to continue organizing the JOB DAY fair in the coming years and further develop cooperation with partners from practice and the public sector.
