From 8th to 10th November 2022, International Days took place on the USB campus, during which students had the opportunity to learn more about trips abroad, either within the Erasmus+ programme or thanks to the offers of other partners who participated in the event (Czech-us, v. o .s., Fulbright Commission, To Germany for Experience, Campus France).
On Tuesday, 8 November 2022, the event was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, doc. PaedDr. Radka Závodská, Ph.D., during which the student organization ESN USB Budweis was introduced and an invitation to the USB Alumni Club was also given. The event also included a competition during which students had to answer three questions about trips abroad:
Those who answered all three questions correctly were entered into a prize draw. The prizes were awarded the next day during the Erasmus Talks event. It should be clarified that the student organisation ESN USB Budweis does not provide any projects abroad, its main activity is to take care of incoming foreign students.
During Wednesday, presentations of foreign students who came to JU within the Erasmus+ programme; presentations of Czech students who have recently returned from their stay abroad and presentations of our above-mentioned partners took place in the USB Academic Library throughout the day.
The day ended with the Erasmus Talks event (organised in cooperation with EUROPE DIRECT České Budějovice), during which students shared their positive and negative experiences abroad. The audience also learned how a stay abroad can help in their future professional career.
On Thursday, 10 November 2022, International Days ended with a screening of the documentary ‘Out of Sight, Out of Mind’ at the Kampa Student Club.
We thank all the participants of the event and look forward to the next International Days in the summer semester!
