Erasmus+ BIP: Entrepreneurship through Sustainability Lens

At the beginning of September, the Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice hosted the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme – Entrepreneurship through Sustainability Lens.
Students from Bulgaria, Finland, Germany, Portugal, Romania, and Sweden took part in the project, exploring together how entrepreneurship can be viewed through the lens of sustainability. The program also involved teachers from Romania and Finland, who contributed with their knowledge and experience. This created an opportunity to connect different academic approaches and strengthen cross-border cooperation.
The entire program was held in a friendly atmosphere that encouraged the sharing of perspectives, experience, and ideas. The introduction included a campus tour and a Design Thinking workshop, which set participants on a creative wave. The second day was devoted to marketing – from basics to strategy – followed by the use of artificial intelligence in marketing. Afterwards, students attended the interactive workshop Power and Art of Words, which demonstrated the great power of well-chosen words.
Participants also had the chance to take a closer look at examples of good practice – visiting Bouda Burgers and the brewery in Český Krumlov, where they learned firsthand about the operation of local businesses and their approach to sustainability. The final day was dedicated to student project presentations, which proposed innovative entrepreneurial ideas with a strong emphasis on sustainability. This was accompanied by a discussion with experts who provided valuable feedback.
The whole stay was not just about education – students also gained new friendships, international contacts, and above all, the motivation to think about entrepreneurship differently – with a focus on responsibility and sustainability. And that is valuable experience for practical life after completing one’s studies.
As each participant agreed, they truly enjoyed the experience – and are looking forward to more events that bring together young people from across Europe.
