Dr. Daniel Novotný in the Bioethical Commission of the Governmental Research, Development and Innovation Council

On 1 July 2022, the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Helena Langšádlová, who is also the Chair of the Government Research, Development and Innovation Council, appointed the philosopher Daniel Novotný, Vice-Dean for Foreign Relations and member of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the USB Faculty of Arts, as a member of the Bioethical Commission.

The Bioethical Commission is an expert and advisory body of the Government Research, Development and Innovation Council. It focuses mainly on tasks related to bioethical aspects of research, experimental development and innovation in the field of modern biology and medicine and monitors the status of bioethical issues in the EU. Members of the Bioethical Commission are experts in the field of biology, law, medicine, embryology, genetics, biochemistry, philosophy, ethics and other related fields.
