The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice has received significant support from Česká spořitelna, a.s., which donated CZK 100,000 to advance education, scientific, and research activities connected with the university’s presence on Svalbard. This donation will be used primarily for teaching and research in the unique Arctic environment, which is crucial for studying climate change, ecology, and organism adaptation.

Why Svalbard?
The Czech Arctic Research Station on Svalbard offers students and scientists from the Faculty of Science a unique opportunity to work in the extreme conditions of the Arctic.
