Art Journeys – The KreativEU alliance international field seminar brought together music, performing, and visual arts

At the Departments of Art Education and Music Education of the Faculty of Education at the University of South Bohemia, the week from June 21st to June 27th, 2026, was marked by the realization of a long-planned field seminar titled Journeys for the Art of the South Bohemian Region, which was organized as part of the KreativEU project. The seven intensive days of traveling to experience the art of the region turned out great, despite the extremely high temperatures that persisted throughout the week.
A group of students from Slovakia, Germany, Romania, and Portugal, under the guidance of department members, visited a variety of interesting places in South Bohemia. Examples include České Budějovice, Český Krumlov, Nové Hrady, Žumberk, Tábor, and Hluboká nad Vltavou. The field seminar included visits to galleries, museums, and historical site exhibitions; also engaging was the program connected to music and performing arts, and, of course, the beauties of the South Bohemian landscape.
We are very pleased that students from the Faculty of Education at the University of South Bohemia also participated in selected parts of the program and that we received high ratings for the program from our guests in the seminar evaluation. We highly recommend that students of the Faculty of Education and the entire University of South Bohemia follow the offers of KreativEU and take advantage of them. It is a great European educational project that is an honor to participate in, not only in the role of host, but also as a participant/guest.
