The debate was attended by distinguished guests: H.E. Jürgen van Meirvenne (Ambassador of Belgium), H.E. Alan Gibbons (Ambassador of Ireland) and Hana Hubáčková (Director General of the European Affairs Section at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic).
The discussion offered the audience inspiring perspectives on current European topics and the workings of international diplomacy. The moderated debate was attended, among others, by students from grammar schools in České Budějovice, who actively engaged with the guests through a number of thought-provoking and highly interesting questions.
Following the debate, the ambassadors and the Director General also met with the Rector of the University of South Bohemia, Prof. Pavel Kozák, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Ondřej Pešek, with whom they discussed opportunities for further cooperation and the importance of European dialogue in education.
The event took place as part of activities commemorating Europe Day, which each year symbolizes peace, unity, and cooperation among European states.
