Call for Proposals for ERC PLUS Grant (ERC-2026-PLUS)

Type: Single-stage
This new type of grant supports outstanding Principal Investigators residing anywhere in the world who have bold ideas and a vision for transformative research that goes beyond the scope of existing ERC grants (Starting, Consolidator, and Advanced Grants).
Researchers may hold only one ERC Plus Grant during their lifetime. The grant must be carried out at a Host Institution located in an EU Member State or an Associated Country.
Researchers at all career stages may apply for an ERC Plus Grant, provided they have an outstanding record of scientific achievement at the forefront of their field. Their intellectual leadership will be assessed in accordance with their career stage.
Excellence is the sole evaluation criterion.
Budget&Duration: Up to €7,000,000; minimum of four years (48 months) and up to seven years (84 months)

- Administrative Form A (including the Ethics Issues Table and Budget Section)
- Part B:
- Part I of the Scientific Proposal
- Statement of Vision
- Curriculum Vitae and Track Record
- Part II of the Scientific Proposal
- Host Institution Support Letter
