From 24 to 29 August 2023, the 49th edition of the well-known exhibition Země živitelka took place. The fair presents the widest range of agricultural disciplines in one place (news from the fields of agricultural technology, hunting, beekeeping, fishing, food or livestock breeding, a comprehensive presentation of agriculture from history to current trends, as well as news in the field of research and education). This year, the stand of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice could not be missing at Země Živitelka either, with the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology and the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Protection presenting themselves. Visitors to the joint stand could choose from a wide range of products produced directly by the faculties, or according to their recipes. It was possible to buy a variety of fish specialties, canned meat or honey from their own beehives, there was also a warm fish soup and draft beer from the faculty microbrewery Čtyrák. Fans and friends of the University of South Bohemia could buy University-themed items or books published by our faculties.
The conference Social Agriculture – 10 years in the Czech Republic was held as part of the exhibition Země živitelka in the form of a workshop and a discussion panel. More about the conference here.
