The successes of our athletes at the Summer World University Games in Germany continue!

Students from the University of South Bohemia achieved excellent results at the Summer World University Games in Germany.Štěpán Borovka, a student at the Faculty of Education, won a bronze medal in 3x3 basketball with his team! After a narrow defeat in the semifinals against the USA (17:19), the Czechs managed to defeat the home team of Germany by a high score of 27:17 and won the second medal in history for the Czech Republic. Martin Svoboda, another representative of the University of South Bohemia, shone in the group stage match against Poland, where he scored 34 points and contributed significantly to the 71:62 victory. In the second match, the Czechs defeated Argentina 104:53, securing their place in the quarterfinals.
The volleyball team, with our representative Helena Esttela Harrisová, lost 0:3 to favored Italy in the quarterfinals, but the girls played a great match and deserve a lot of respect for that.
