Meeting of KreativeEU partner universities: the South Bohemian delegation traveled to Stockholm

The exchange of experiences and opinions, primarily focused on students’ outbound mobility, was the main purpose of the trip to partner Södertörn University in Stockholm undertaken by the USB Vice-Rector for International Relations, Vladimír Žlábek, the Head of USB’s International Relations Office, Zdeňka Novotná, and the KreativEU Coordinator at the University of South Bohemia, Lucie Jeroušková.

At the WP7 Mobility work package meeting, participants discussed administrative issues related to student mobility abroad, in particular the obstacles hindering such mobility and ways to effectively reduce or eliminate them so that as many students as possible have the opportunity to study abroad. KreativEU’s goal is for 50 % of all students to participate in some form of mobility, whether virtual or physical. WP7 Mobility participants explored strategies for achieving this target, how to offer mobility opportunities within KreativEU, and how to make mobility as accessible as possible for students.

Two USB students from the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Protection travelled to Poland for the two-day International Hackathon KreativHack on AI for Cultural Heritage (17–19 September 2025). The event is also attended by the WP5 work package coordinator, Daniel D. Novotný. This agenda includes hackathons focused on smart sustainability (AI, innovation, sustainability, and connections with eco-cultural heritage).

Another significant event of the KreativEU international consortium, to be attended by three USB staff members from the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Arts, and the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Protection from 22–26 September 2025, is a week-long programme at the Polytechnic University of Tomar in Portugal. It will focus mainly on innovations in pedagogy.

Registration is still open for two KreativEU events in Slovakia: the Walking Seminar “Traces of the Roman Frontier” and the “Living Heritage” Conference.

From 6–8 October 2025, the University of South Bohemia will organise its first networking conference under the KreativEU banner: New Trends in bioScience 3 – History, Traditions and Innovative Approaches of Cultural Heritage in Science.

Several courses are available for students and staff in the KreativEU Course Catalogue. The University of Greifswald has prepared courses under the KreativEU Centre for Excellence in Digital Education and AI – these courses are aimed primarily at current and future educators, whom the University of Greifswald also invites to its annual Teaching Internationally Conference 2025 at the University of Greifswald.

During the week of 29 September to 3 October 2025, a major KreativEU meeting will be held in Târgoviște, Romania, featuring a packed programme with colleagues from the other partner universities. A six-member USB delegation led by Rector Pavel Kozák will travel to Romania.
