The consortium of European universities KreativEU (Knowledge & Creativity European University), of which the University of South Bohemia is also a member, has been awarded the Seal of Excellence in the European Alliances Assessment in the ERASMUS+ ERASMUS-EDU-2023-EUR-UNIV-2 - European Universities, Development of New International Cooperation between Institutions Call 2023. The project proposal was recognised as a high-quality project but did not receive funding due to budgetary constraints and was therefore recommended by the European Commission for funding from other sources. In addition to the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, the consortium of KreativEU universities includes the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (main coordinator of the project), Universitatea Valahia din Târgovişte, D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University, Università degli Studi di Camerino and the University of Trnava.
The project of the universities associated in the KreativEU consortium is based on a shared vision of the importance of European cultural and artistic diversity as a driver of cohesion, equality, peace and sustainability, as well as on the educational, economic, political, social and scientific aspects of innovation and development. All this contributes to the creation of a European University unique in its kind, capable of offering a competitive and attractive European education and research system. There are currently a total of 50 alliances involving over 430 European HEIs.
