University of South Bohemia organized an awareness-raising workshop about the HR Award

As a holder of the HR Award, the University of South Bohemia organized on 13.11.2019 an awareness-raising workshop at the Clarion Congress Hotel in České Budějovice. Among the participants of the workshop were representatives of institutions interested in HR Award and foreign guests from an Austrian and Norwegian university. The aim was to share their experience about how to take an advantage of such a great opportunity.

The programme was divided into two parts. The morning presentation in the English language was followed by the afternoon programme in Czech that was devoted to all employees of USB and to all guests from other universities. The programme was started by the speech of doc. Tomáš Machula, Ph.D., Th.D., the rector of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. He was followed by doc. Ing. Žlábek, Ph.D., the vice-dean for International Relations who introduced the university engagement in HR Award and then after the foreign guests. The university representatives agreed that receiving of the HR Award has raised the prestige and attractiveness of USB for researchers not only from the Czech Republic but also from abroad and it is an important step for the university future. Among the foreign guests were, for example, Dr. Giulliana Sabbatini (Fachhochschule Technikum Wien) and Jarmo Okonnen from the University in Oulu.
