Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Helena Langšádlová visited the University of South Bohemia

On Friday, 18 November, the Minister met with representatives of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and the Director of the Biology Centre CAS, Libor Grubhoffer. She also spoke with students and praised the cooperation between the Academy of Sciences and the University.

The discussion with the Minister was largely focused on the topic of funding for budding scientists, entrepreneurship and the transfer of their knowledge into practice and other pressing issues. ‘These meetings are very important. We need to create such an environment for these young people with great potential to do cutting-edge science in the Czech Republic,’ commented Minister Langšádlová on her FB profile.

During her visit, the Minister also accepted an invitation to lunch in our Refectory.
