In the upcoming academic year the university will receive more than 2 800 applicants for the Bachelor´s studies and 900 applicants for the Master´s degree.
Applicants have a great interest in studying at the University of South Bohemia which has been acknowledged by the number of applications for studies in the academic year 2015/2016.
The University of South Bohemia has registered 11,269 applications so far, which is not a final number because the Faculty of Science still receives applications for the Master´s programs. Applicants are most interested in studying at the faculty of Education, Health and Social studies and Economics. These faculties have been at the forefront of interest for several years. Compared to last year, when the University of South Bohemia received over 12,000 applications, we can see a slight decrease, which however has been expected. It is due to the decline of the population curve in the graduation classes at secondary schools and strong competition among other universities.
Based on the limits of financed students set by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for the upcoming academic year 2015/2016, the University of South Bohemia will receive more than 2,800 applicants for Bachelor´s studies and about 900 most successful applicants for the Master's degree.
