The Open Days 2020 at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice took place on Friday 17.1. 2020 from 3 p.m. It is considered to be one of the biggest and most often frequented events at USB, visited especially by potential future students.
The visitors gained detailed information about different study fields and programmes of all faculties, conditions for admission, employment after graduation, possibilities of foreign studies and exchange opportunities.
The University has also introduced new study programmes, e.g. new bachelor programmes at the Faculty of Economics (e.g. Economics and management, Management of regional Development etc.), Paediatric nursing at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, the possibility of combining programmes at the Faculty of Arts, a new master programme Ecology at the Faculty of Science and the possibility to study bachelor programme Religious Studies separately at the Faculty of Theology.
The Faculty of Education has introduced a new conception for the preparation of future teachers „Teachers Pro Futuro “, its aim is the quality preparation of future teachers, specialists of 21st century. The visitors were also all day informed about the possibilities and advantages of studies at the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters.
The university hosted at the Open Days event more than 1500 secondary school students from the whole Czech Republic.
