The best young Czechoslovak microbiologist works at the University of South Bohemia

Mgr. Martin Palus, the doctoral programme student of the Infection Biology at the Faculty of Science of the University of South Bohemia, was awarded the prestigious prize of the Czechoslovak Society for Microbiology for the best young Czechoslovak microbiologist in the year 2015.

The price is intended for researchers who have not completed the age of 35 years in the year of the award and have achieved significant results in this discipline, which were published in international journals. Mgr. Palus, who currently works as well as at the Institute of Parasitology of the ASCR Biological Center in Czech Budejovice and at theResearch Institute of Veterinary Medicine in Brno, won this award for an exceptionally valuable original scientific works focused on the study of mechanisms of pathogenesis of tick-borne encephalitis.
