The long-time employee of the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia, and one of the greatest experts in the wetland research and protection RNDr. Jan Květ, CSc, dr.h.c, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
The prize is awarded by the society of scientists studying wetlands (Society of Wetland Scientists). The society evaluated his long-time involvement in the wetland research, sustainable use and protection. Gala award ceremony was held in early June as a part of the annual conference of the society, which in 2015 hosted Providence on the Rhode Island in the USA.
