A unique course of Marine Aquaculture at FFPW USB

The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters (FROV JU / FFPW USB) prepared for master degree students a new subject "Marine Aquaculture" (taught in English) which will be led by an experienced marine biologist Dr. Carlos Yanes-Roca.

The students will learn about the current state of Marine Aquaculture production and demands. They will broaden their horizons and they will be exposed to new species and cultured methods based on the marine environment. Learning about different culture methods and protocols allows the students to diversify their knowledge, it helps to develop their critical thinking and capacity to solve problems and take novel initiatives. Practical knowledge on Phytoplankton and Zooplankton culture at laboratory level will be achieved during the practicals.
