The Summer School of Slavonic Studies is hosted by the Department of Czech Studies of the Faculty of Arts, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice in a three-week period between late August and mid-September.

The courses are designed for international students, professionals (teachers, interpreters) and academic staff members in the field of Czech Studies and Slavic Studies who are over 18 years of age. However, the wide scope of the courses offers something for all those interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture. Applicants can apply as self-payers, paying all the costs themselves or for scholarships that are only awarded to candidates nominated by the competent authorities of the contracted partner countries or embassies of the Czech Republic.

This year, the Summer school will be held from 18th August till 9th September, 2019 and the opening ceremony on Monday 19th August 2019 at 10:00 in the building of the Faculty of Arts. 

The closing ceremony of the Summer School of Slavonic Studies will be held on Thursday 5th September 2019 at 14:00 in the auditorium Bobík, in the campus of the University of South Bohemia. During the first part of the closing programme you will enjoy a piano performance accompanied with singing and then will the SSSS graduates receive a certificate of attendance and a report card.
