Programme Theology
Specialization Systematic Theology


This field of study aims to introduce various methodologies of theological study, research and creative thinking and thereby prepares the students for individual theological-scientific work and production which would stand on the level of contemporary standard requests of theological science. The study consists of courses in systematical and ecumenical theology. Knowledge of two modern languages as well as Latin and Greek is required. Each student is obliged to take all compulsory subjects, as well as to pass exams in Hebrew, Greek and Latin and two foreign languages, and to take at least two compulsorily-elective subjects. The study is completed by the doctoral state examination which has two parts: the oral examination (in biblical and systematical theology, religious sciences) and the defence of doctoral thesis (at least 150 pages).

The graduates are prepared to continue their academic and research work at various research institutions, to teach at secondary or terciary schools as well as to become experts in church and social life (pastoral and counselling programmes, media, publishing houses, press agencies and humanitarian organizations.)




Programme Theology
Specialization Theological Anthropology and Ethics


This field of study aims to qualitatively deepen the way how to understand a human being while using a systematical reflexion of theological and anthropological sciences. The study focuses on analysing and solving the theological problems that arise from confrontation between theological and anthropological sciences (philosophy, history, psychology, sociology and political sciences). Each student is obliged to take all compulsory subjects, as well as to pass exams in Latin and two foreign languages, and to take at least two compulsorily-elective subjects. The study is completed by the doctoral state examination which has two parts: the oral examination (in biblical and cultural anthropology, theological ethics) and the defence of doctoral thesis (at least 150 pages).
