The University of South Bohemia International Council

The University of South Bohemia International Council (USB International Council) represents an advisory body to the Rector for assessing the direction and quality of the USB's educational and creative activities. The Rector of the USB in České Budějovice appoints members of the USB International Council after discussion with the Rector´s board for a period of five years. The International Council of the USB is composed of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 members, who belong to respected international experts who have long been acting out of the territory of the Czech Republic.

The USB International Council provides opinions and recommendations in the area of the newly developed study programmes and the future direction of the intended study programmes at USB, comments the areas of education where USB endeavors for accreditation, or suggests procedures to possible improvements of the overall educational concept at USB. The USB International Council offers incentives to improve the organization and processes of the USB's scientific and research activities, to conceptual issues and, based on the Rector's request, performs evaluation of individuals or teams proposed for grants, medals and USB awards.

Communication between the Rector of USB and members of the USB International Council is via electronic mail. The meeting of the USB International Council is held at least once in five years. In that case, travel and subsistence expenses are reimbursed by the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.

The appointment of the members of the USB International Council for the next five years took place on 1st January 2018.
