International
Employees and students of the Department of Medical Biology (DMB) and the Institute of Chemistry (ICH) of the Faculty of Science of the USB took part in resolving the critical situation of insufficient capacities for testing for the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and they have tested 3455 samples in the BSL2 laboratories of the DMB since March 28.
The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice was visited on Wednesday 17. 6. 2020 by the Director of the Department for Science and Technology of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague, Mr. Hong-Wei Yen, Ph.D.
On Monday 25. 5. 2020 was held a meeting between the Rector of USB and the Vice-Rector for International Relations of USB with the representatives of the Czech – Middle Asian Chamber of Commerce (ČSOK).
Dear employees, students and friends of the University of South Bohemia, in connection with the end of the state of emergency in the Czech Republic, please allow me to thank you on behalf of myself and also the whole management of the USB.
On the first April day, despite the current epidemic, the newly elected Rector of the University of South Bohemia - professor Bohumil Jiroušek - assumed office.
Due to extraordinary measures adopted by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic in connection with the spread of the coronavirus in the territory of the Czech Republic and, furthermore, in connection with the announcement of the government of the Czech Republic concerning the declaration of the state of emergency, after a debate with the Rector of the USB, I am issuing this decision on prices of accommodation in May of this year:
On March 24, 2020, the laboratories of the Department of Medical Biology at the Faculty of Science of the USB have been granted permission from the National Institute of Public Health to test samples of patients for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the disease known as COVID-19.
In connection with the current guidelines issued by the National Security Council CZ, I define the following measures:
A monograph written in English and a book devoted to the work and legacy of Tomáš Akvinský – two new titles of the USB Publishing House.
The faculties of USB have again placed on the top ranks of the survey carried out by the magazine TÝDEN. The Faculty of Economics is newly among the best faculties in the field of Economics too.
