In the just published ranking of U.S. News´ Best Global Universities 2017, the University of South Bohemia was placed among a thousand of world´s best universities
For the third year this ranking has been compiled by the media company U.S. News & World Report. Within the last year a total of 1262 universities from 65 countries of the world were assessed, from which a thousand of the best was subsequently put together. The assessment has been based on 12 criteria that assess especially the scientific performance and scientific reputation of the university. The ranking draws data from the analytical instrument Clarivate Analytics InCites, formerly Thomson Reuters InCites.
The University of South Bohemia was placed in the global ranking of U.S. News on 850th overall place, in the Czech Republic it ranked the fifth place out of six universities placed in the top thousand universities. Last year the University of South Bohemia did not get in this global ranking.
In addition to the global ranking of U.S. News, discipline rankings are also regularly compiled. Like last year, also in the 2017 year, the University of South Bohemia reached the discipline ranking in „Plant and Animal Science“, where it occupied the overall 206th place and 4th place among the universities in the Czech Republic.
