The University of South Bohemia was visited by the representatives of the Czech – Middle Asian Chamber of Commerce (ČSOK)

On Monday 25. 5. 2020 was held a meeting between the Rector of USB and the Vice-Rector for International Relations of USB with the representatives of the Czech – Middle Asian Chamber of Commerce (ČSOK).

The Czech – Middle Asian Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary association of Czech and foreign natural and legal persons who are interested in all-round cooperation between the Czech Republic and abroad and facilitates the development of economic relations and business cooperation between Czech and foreign business entities and institutions through their activities.

At the meeting, the President of ČSOK, Mr. Jiří Nestával presented the chamber's activities, mainly related to education in Russia and the Central Asian region, and informed about the establishment of a cluster of universities that are involved in the education of foreign students from Russia and Kazakhstan as part of international cooperation. Mrs. Vlasta Bohdalová Mgr., who also attended the meeting, added information on cooperation with China and the interest of Chinese students in education in the Czech Republic. During the meeting they also discussed the current forms of education, with an emphasis on the growing importance of distance (online) study of university students.
