Representatives of two Ukrainian universities visited the university

On Thursday, 26th March 2015, there was held a meeting of representatives of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice with representatives of two Ukrainian universities – the Eastern European Slavic University in Uzhgorod and Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University.

The Vice-Rector for International Relations doc. Dagmar Škodová Parmová, then Mgr. Eva Fichtnerová and Mgr. Věra Filipová from the International Office and Ing. Jana Lopourová from the Lifelong learning Department of the University of South Bohemia attended the ceremonial adoption. The Eastern European Slavic University in Uzhgorod was represented by the Rector Lyudmila Nesukh and by the Vice-Rector Stepan Selmenskiy, the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University was represented dr. Galina Radchuk.

The welcome and introduction of the University of South Bohemia was followed by a discussion on possibilities of a mutual cooperation in student and teacher mobilities, joint research projects, organizing of summer schools or study within the Lifelong learning. The negotiations resulted in the signing of the Memorandum of understanding for the future cooperation among universities.

After the formal adoption at the Rectorate the Ukrainian guests visited the Faculty of Education, where they participated in the ongoing international conference “School and its intersections”, which was organized by the Czech Society of Education.
