The University of South Bohemia regrets to announce that prof. RNDr. Pavel Blažka, MD., the first Dean of the Faculty of Biology, passed away at the age of 88 years.
Professor Pavel Blažka was a prominent Czech expert in the physiology of aquatic animals, who worked at the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences for many years. He also participated in the foundation of the Faculty of Biology (today Faculty of Science) and in 1992-1998 he served as its dean.
